I removed it and right now I have none. I'm playing around with other things in the mean time.

Yes, it is not that necessary since I have one on my wrist. When I get around to it I will see which clocks display themselves properly.

Sorry for my stupid question... did you resolve your issue? If not, try the "deskbar" option instead of "vertical" (I am using this setting without any issues).

hello chamen
for your vertical XFCE panel trial: unlock the XFCE panel while making XFCE panel changes.. try "deskbar" setting for vertical XFCE panel with horizontal text. plus set xfce panel Appearance >Background to "none."
your pictures of machine screen with XFCE dialogues sure do help. keep posting about the chaletos.

I apologize for not being so helpful. I was just testing out chaletos and I have moved on. If having a vertical taskbar is crucial you may be interested in kubuntu. Here is what I have so far

Re: How to make the taskbar vertical and look normal?
if you need vertical taskbar I recommend unity over KDE. Unity crashes and glitches too much
Re: How to make the taskbar vertical and look normal?
I'm confused. Unity crashes more than kde yet you recommend unity over kde?
