Hi sri_hs,

I'm not on Chalet right now (so I'm not sure if Chalet already has it), but this has always worked for me on other Linux OSs...

First, do you have brightness controls on the keys of your keyboard? This software has always worked as long as I had brightness control keys on my keyboard.

Open your terminal and enter (or copy and paste) the following command...

sudo apt-get install xbacklight

I can't remember if it starts working immediately after it's installed or if you have to log out or reboot for it to start working. Anyway, it should allow your keyboard's brightness control keys to start working. If that doesn't help, I don't know of anything else...
