Boot up only got to splash screen Empty Boot up only got to splash screen

As stated....During bootup from DVD it hung up on the splash screen and would not go past that.  I pressed the  F keys and the message was  CD:  Input,  output error

Did you ever think of your logo as   .....Chalet with Os centered under it?

I would really like to try Chalet.
