Epson printer disabled ?

I installed escputil for epson printers and all was working fine for weeks.
Today I try printing and nothing happens.

Entered @ terminal...
lpstat -p - says printer disabled

Printer settings seem to be all there.

Menu->settings->printers do you tryed enable or disable maybe remove and plug another usb and add again?

escputil is so full of selections in the list that it makes options hard to find  

just checked 'printers localhost' and 'enabled' was unticked. Have no idea   how this was unticked since it was working a couple of days ago.

Don't know how I missed checking there !

On several Linux versions I had a similar local network printer problem that would happen randomly, usually weeks between episodes.  Re-installing the printer  always worked.  Eventually I realized that  after a power outage or router reset DHCP would give the printer a new address.   Problem solved with a manually assigned static printer address--and one final install procedure for the systems. There was never a problem with the computers losing track of the internet--only the printer seemed to have a problem.
