[solved]VLC Media Player

Hi
    I have a problem with VLC Player, cant get DVDs to play / sound is O.K. but video is just all pixelation.
Have tried different DVDs but same result / can anyone shed some light on the problem.

I have uninstalled then reinstalled VLC. but makes no difference.

 UPDATE-- Have tried it on same hardware in a windows environment using VLC  Player  - Everything worked O.K.

Thank you James but the link didn't cover my problem.

I did some searches and it seems that VLC Player does have problems running in Linux, Anyway I could not get it to work regardless of what I tried, I installed SMPlayer instead and everything is working O.K. first time.

Just a thought / is VLC Media Player reliable enough to be included in ChaletOS Distro ?

   I tried it on Linux Lite using the same DISC / but different hardware all was O.K.

I assume that it is an issue of non compatability with my Hardware as James suggested.
