How to block ads / advertisements completely ????

sudo mousepad /etc/hosts

Default text is

And add below the "Default text"

the entire text in the above webpage and ads are completely blocked. Some ads like yahoo mail may still be there.

This is the best way to block ads.

Regularly check for updated hosts file... and edit as necessary...
