Howto enable ctrl alt backspace (short cut to logout)
Ubuntu disabled this shortcut in 10.10. There is a way to make it work. In my opinion it is one of the most handy shortcuts and I cant understand why they disable it. Making use of ctrl alt backspace does not interfere with any known feature and is useful for users and admin. Go to settings>keyboard>application shortcuts>add>
Also you can add a keyboard shortcut. Go to Settings>Keyboard>Application Shortcuts>Add drop in the above command and choose a shortcut. I chose alt+alt
- Code:
pkill -KILL -u username(the one you want to enable the shortcut for)
Also you can add a keyboard shortcut. Go to Settings>Keyboard>Application Shortcuts>Add drop in the above command and choose a shortcut. I chose alt+alt
