Update your font cache:

Download and extract these fonts into the ~/.fonts folder. If the directory doesn't exist, simply create it. Alternatively, you can do a system-wide installation of these fonts by moving (root permission required) or softlinking them to /usr/share/fonts/truetype. Don't forget to update your font cache!
Update your font cache:
sudo fc-cache -fv

Alternate way of installing fonts
=======================================
Paste this into mousepad and save it as fontinstaller
Mark the script as executable
Create a folder /usr/share/fonts/truetype/fontinstaller
Without this step you can't install the font for all users.
Open the thunar file manager
Click on Edit and then on Configure custom actions
Add a new custom action by clicking on a '+' button
Enter this in the text boxes:
Name:
Description:
Command:
Click on Appearance Conditions tab
In the File pattern enter:
Check other files box and confirm by clicking on OK
If you have a .ttf/.TTF file on the Desktop you will have to log out and back in to be able to use this.
Now you can right-click on .ttf file and install it.
Options are user and system. System option means the font is installing for all the users, and you will have to enter superuser password (three times).
After the font is installed open the WPS Writer an you can use the new font.
