Anyway, while I have been recouping from a back problem been doing some clicking around. Trying to get off windows/past the newbie stage and have been distro hopping a bit.

Anyway I came across Chalet on Gizmo's forum thru some link surfing and decided to give it a try. Normally I have been a fan of either KDE or Gnome with the functionality involved.

Been using this for a couple of days and all I can say is this OS works great.

And thing is I don't seem to need a "heavy duty" desktop for this machine.
Specs-Dell Precision T3500. 6 core 3.2 XEON. 12 gigs ram. Quadro FX 38800 video. Samsung 850 Pro 256 gig ssd.

Not my choice because I was using a Dell 1747 lappy. My boss turned me onto this machine and got it off ebay for 400 bucks. Him being a real engineer he knows what a workstation computer is and I really like this.

Well done folks, well done.
