Cannot Play DVD's Empty Cannot Play DVD's

VLC won't play any dvd I use. Tried other players and none will work. Tried on 3 laptops all do the same. Any thoughts?

Not sure why your VLC won't play dvd's..

Well that is a way around the issue : but the main problem is related to VLC. Which is installed by default in ChaletOS.

Perhaps, you could provide links to the 'restricted' codecs that will allow VLC to work with commercial movies.

I installed what i thought were the correct codecs from the Debian repository and it froze ChaletOS.

I had the same problem with several other programs : that seem to freeze ChaletOS.

All of which brings me back to XINE.

It is not on your list of recommended softwares. So, it could be included on your list of supported softwares ?
