problem with extended display
I need to know how to set an extended desktop on another display to be on left of my laptop...
Even when I make a choice to set the extra display to be primary, even then, I cant make it work to see the bottom line in big screen and extended display on laptop screen!
The problem is that it always set the primary display on left... i want it right!
And another question. How can I make the mouse wheel to work faster?

Re: problem with extended display
@aris321,
Not a specialist at this but...
Try selecting a default then turning the other one off.
Then turn it back on.
Play around the disposition if that doesn't work and try again.
I work in dual monitor situation and it's not easy to get it right (or is that left?) - just joking.
Btw, welcome to the forum and hope you get to a satisfactory solution!

Re: problem with extended display
Thank you for your reply. Really i have tried a lot to get extended display left (that's right for the primary display to be the external one). Even with the laptop Fn buttons for switching displays the choice of extended display says "extend to right". That really makes me believe that it is a constant of the OS.
I tried everything you suggest, also i tried to change x,y in settings panel but nothing happens.
And what about the mouse? How do you make it scroll faster?

Re: problem with extended display
Extended monitor is indeed a "constant of the OS" as you say but it usually ends up okay.
Not sure about your mouse issue.
Have never experienced a problem there.
With 8G of RAM setup on / ext4 on an SSD, everything just flows fine at my end.

Re: problem with extended display
So any other suggestions for the display? In fact the primary tick doesn't work. It set up primary only the display on the left ignoring the tick choice.
Also about the mouse, in Windows there is an option to change the lines that it scrolls using the wheel. I have the same on my pc (8g, i5, ssd) and there is no lag
Can anyone check the above?

Re: problem with extended display
What do you have set on settings / display? Also there is a mouse and TouchPad on settings too
Re: problem with extended display
I installed Zorin and there is no problem like that. I can choose which display to be primary and at what side... Thanks again. It must be an issue with ChaletOS

Re: problem with extended display
It's not that easy to move from windows to linux. Really, it depends to a lot of things. There are not many drivers for linux and of course there are not many programs (like autocad, etc) to work with it
Thank you again.
Still I cannot fully configure my 5-button mouse in an easy way and the scroll wheel to go faster.
