I'm not at my computer that has ChaletOS on it right now, but if memory serves me correctly...

1. Right-click anywhere on your desktop
2. In the window that pops up, click on Desktop Settings
3. That will open another window. Click on the Icons tab.

Next to Icon Size, you can then resize the icons up or down.

Hope my memory was correct and that it helps. Wink

instead of building a new ubuntu , find a way to add chalet to your distro of choice, like the way you can add the gnome desktop or xfce.

ubuntu is by nature a memory hog and feels slow compared to current stock debian jessie or even the rolling arch distro antergos will run faster and much more stable than ubuntu, that said, i have tested 14 and 16.04 is alot faster and is worth recommending if you want a ubuntu flavor.
