First Time User, Long Time Linuxer
While I wish I could say that I go W A Y back with Linux, it would be more accurate to say I've been a casual user for several years. I've downloaded a lot of different versions and have ended up pretty focused on playing with Mint, using it to resuscitate several old desktops and laptops. Read about ChaletOS on Abhishek It's F.O.S.S. and really like a current OS that tries to make former Windows users at home. Have to say that XP was my favorite, I bang my head every once-in-a-while with 10 and Vista was the worst.
I've installed ChaletOS 16.04.2 on an old 32 Bit Toshiba Tecra A3-S611: Intel Pentium M Processor 1.60 GHz, 1271 MB RAM,40GB IDE HDD, Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2200BG [Calexico2], MATSHITA UJDA750 DVD/CDRW. Performance is adequate for a playing around machine and everything seems to be working well.
