[solved] How to modify grub boot loader
I just heard and installed Charletos. So far I'm liking it.
Ran peppermint for a long time.
But now for my ?. How do I change the color of the bootloader?
Can I add my own back ground?

The person explain in little detail how he did it. I read that thread before I posted mine.
I can do some things, but not all things.
I never played with grub much.

I can get in to see the background by doing this:
sudo gedit /etc/default/grub
Now to change it?

The way I did it is I used shotwell and and opened my picture and save
as used png and named it background. Then I copied the picture.
The opened a terminal and ran sudo nautulus and opened the file system
usr/share/grub and pasted it in there and yes over write the old background
picture...... :-)

Re: [solved] How to modify grub boot loader
I know this thread is marked as solved but I thought I would just mention how I customize my grub menu. I use a program appropriately called grub-customizer which can be downloaded from from here. When you extract the tar.gz file go into the main directory and the README file has good instructions for building and installing. You can modify pretty much everything from this and I always install on my systems as I multiboot different distro's and you can easily modify the names, position on the menu, backgrounds etc.
Just make sure to install the dependencies listed in the README file before compiling and everything should be ok. I have tested on my machine and it is running smoothly.
